2. Dear Parents, It is with much enthusiasm and excitement that the Parent’s Association are able to put together such an event for the children. However, we also know that there are a number of things that need to be covered off and we will outline them here for you. It is important that we clarify that this is not a school run event. This event is being run by the parents. If teachers do attend please be aware that this is not in a capacity of supervision The children are expected to follow discipline procedures of the parents that volunteer to help out on the evening and who will be responsible for the safe behaviour of all children It is imperative that EVERY child be signed in and out of the event. Please do not enter or exit from the back of the hall. The company running the disco is Kidz Party Disco www.kidzpartydisco.com.au They have conducted these disco’s at our school for the past 2 years and at other schools and parties for years and come with loads of experience. Their DJ’s are police checked and have Working with Children certificates. We will only be serving water at the disco.  Please ensure your child has had sufficient food before attending. We have 2 mums who are trained nurses. They will be our first aid officers.  They have put together a first aid plan that covers most if not all possible instances. The First Aid plan will be available to view on the night. Parents are more than welcome to stay and watch.  Have a cuppa in the kitchen if you wish. Lastly, an event like this wouldn’t run successfully without volunteers. We will need approximately 10 parents at both Prep-2 session and grade 3-6 session. This is simply to help with signing in/out, refreshments and general supervision of the children. If you are able to assist on the night please provide your details on the RSVP slip. If you do not hear from us it means that we have enough volunteers.
