  3. Current developments CPS Energy is accepting applications for customers that are interested in participating in the program. Formal documents and standards are tentatively scheduled to be released February 2010 CPS Energy and Solartricity

  4. Types of connections to grid • System must connect directly to grid • New service drop to existing building • New pad mount transformer location • Line extension to new location CPS Energy and Solartricity

  5. Possible connection points for overhead services Direct load side connection on existing transformer New transformer installation with new service drop Connection to existing commercial bus or gutter boxes not allowed at this time CPS Energy and Solartricity

  6. Pad mount verses overhead transformers • Overhead transformers allow for connection directly to load side • Pad mount transformers will have to have new conduit service brought to their locations CPS Energy and Solartricity

  7. Fees to be added to system costs for the customer • Currently the cost of the transformers, operation and maintenance are not charged to the customer • Solartricity customers will be collecting revenue for providing power on equipment paid for from other customers CPS Energy and Solartricity

  8. System located in Downtown • Buildings located downtown are feed from utility vaults, and may not be acceptable for load side connection • Systems downtown are not automatically disqualified, but will be handled case by case CPS Energy and Solartricity
