8. 장점 • 적절히 제작 되었을 때 • stabilizing • 중심교합위와 eccentric movement에서 loose한 치아를 안정화 시킴 • ∵ 완전 장착 시 이상적인 tooth-frame contact을 가지면서 치아가 국소의치로부터 독립적으로 움직일 수 없기 때문 • esthetic aspect • 교합면 아말감과 유사하게 보임

9. 전치부 • Cingulum / Incisal rest • 교합하중을 받는 동안에 tooth-frame relationship을 유지하기 위해서 명확한 레스트 필요 • cf ) lingual plating ≠ splinting

23. Indications • 하악 • 약화된 소수 전치 잔존 +양측 or 편측 견치 상실 • 측절치에 clasping하여 적절한 유지력을 얻는 것이 不可能 • 약화된 잔존치를 splinting해서 하나의 다근치로 만드는 것이 유리 • 침하의 가능성을 제거하기 위해서 어느 한쪽 terminal abutment상에 명확한 레스트 必要 • 상악 • 편측 잔존치 존재 • hemimaxillectomy patient • 모든 잔존치들을 splinting

24. Problems • buccal vestibule • 충분 시 : bar • 불충분 시 : veneered plate • discomfort for the bulky labial bar • manipulation이 어려운 old pt. 의 경우 삽입 철거 훈련 필요

31. Flange extension for Cl. IV rot. partial • 전방부 flange • 길이 • 무치악 치조제의 height of contour까지 연장 • undercut이 없는 경우 : 완전히 연장 • margin : tapering (ledge형성되지 않도록 얇게 제작)
