USING THESIMPLE PRESENTTO MAKE QUESTIONS • If you want to make a question using theSIMPLE PRESENT, just follow this pattern: AUXILIARY + SUBJECT + BASE FORM OF VERB • Take a look at these examples: AUXILIARYSUBJECTBASE FORM Willy Chirinowritessongs.DoesWilly Chirinowritesongs? He and his wife playthe guitar Do theyplaythe guitar? Lissettelikesto dance. Does Lissette liketo dance?
Using BE • If the main verb of the sentence isBE, then you doNOTuse DO/DOES in the question. Let me show you what I mean: AM / IS / ARE SUBJECT Willy Chirinois Lisette’s husband. Ishe Lissette’s husband? Theyaremarried. Arethey married?
