Concluding Remarks Generally, the University of Ghana has: • accepted the HERANA developed benchmarks as fair, comprehensive and applicable • adopted the HERANA indicators as a means of measuring efficiency and strengthening knowledge production • accepted to foster awareness amongst Deans, Directors and Heads of Departments about efficiency indicators • created a centralised office in charge of academic core data and its dissemination
Concluding Remarks (continued) The data supports the quest of the University to: • be a research intensive University, • attract research funds and promote collaborative Research • attract students. • attract government attention on its strategic goals • strengthen the argument to improve performance
