7. Why a Bare Board Test? The best way to speed up your time to market is to perform a bare board test. It's a fact that not all manufactured boards are good. Bare board testing is recommended for all double-sided and multi-layer boards. Testing must be carried out during the product prototype phase. Most prototypes are expensive. Testing at this stage helps avoid the costly mistake of assembling a defective board. Testing also helps contain your costs by reducing the likelihood that you will need additional prototype runs.During the product production phase, downtime on any production line is costly in terms of labor, rework or missed deliveries. If an untested bare board is assembled, any functional problems will require troubleshooting to determine whether the board or the assembly is at fault. Testing the bare board saves time since any functional problems can be isolated to the assembly.

17. FAQ’s • What are the platforms available? We currently work on ECAM for PCB CAM and GCA fixture magician for Test. However, if there is a long term commitment, services in other high-end platforms like Barco or Genesis will be provided. • How are the jobs sent to India and returned? A separate ftp account is created for each customer. A login name and password is allocated. You can place your jobs on the ftp site. Finished files will be also put back on the ftp site and the customer is informed by email. • India? How do I communicate? All engineers & staff are well versed in English. You can call, email or fax.

18. FAQ’s • When will I get the jobs back? Usually it is a 12 hour turnaround time. QTA (quick turnaround) jobs are considered special and are done on the request of the customer at additional cost. • How do I know my job files will be kept confidential? We keep security and confidentiality high on priority. We sign NDA (non disclosure agreement) with our customers. All our staff members are bound by NDA.
