V80 • Handset Audio Loopback Check • Objective: To check that handset mic & spkr are both functional • Step 1: Setup • Use RadioComm • Put phone in suspend mode • Set AUD_PATH : Input- Internal Mic • Output- Internal Spkr • Set AUD_LVL=15 • User must hear feedback from mic to spkr when mic is being rubbed Motorola Confidential Proprietary

V80 • If loopback fails: • Step 2: Check Transceiver board • Verify mic input path into PCAP • Measure MIC_BIAS1 =2.1V (R1001 inside PCAP shield SH 900) • Measure INT_MIC+ = 0.7V (C1001 inside PCAP shield SH 900) • Verify spkr output path from PCAP • Under AUD_TN_GEN • Set Frequency : 1000Hz • Set Level 1 : 7FFF (default) • Probe 1KHz signal to verify at • SPKR+ : R1210 • SPKR- : R1211 ( located at 60 BB connector) Motorola Confidential Proprietary

V80 • Headset Audio Loopback Check • Objective: To check that headset mic & spkr are both functional • Step 1:Setup • Use RadioComm • Put phone in suspend mode • Set AUD_PATH : Input- Boom Mic • Output- Boom Spkr • Set AUD_LVL=15 • User must hear feedback from mic to spkr when mic is being rubbed Motorola Confidential Proprietary

V80 • If loopback fails: • Step 2: Check Transceiver board • Verify mic input path into PCAP • Measure MIC_BIAS2 =2.1V (R1020 inside PCAP shield SH 901) • Measure HJACK_MIC = 1.4V (C1241 besides • headset jack J1240) • Measure HJACK _DET (VR1241 besides headset jack J1240) • = 2.7 V (headset unplugged) • = 0 V (headset plugged) Motorola Confidential Proprietary
