Vision Our vision is to prepare the nation for the challenges of knowledge revolution with strengthening of public sector Institutions by providing access and quality education to all children and youth. Mission To bring all children, boys and girls inside in the schools by providing quality education through access at all levels.
Initiatives Taken so far Prepared long-term Education Strategy (2008-2025) for Gilgit-Baltistan completed Established Female Directorate of Education at Gilgit Establishment of Polytechnic Institute for Boys at Gilgit for Diploma of Associates(DAE) Engineer in Civil and Electrical Technologies. The construction work is in progress. Established Regional Directorate of Education for Baltistan Region( Skardu and Khaplu) Established Education Assessment Center (GB- EAC) in Gilgit. Establishment of GB- EMIS to collect accurate and reliable information for Educational planning. Provided 30 buses to colleges and schools of GB. Started Diploma in Education and B. Ed classes in Teacher Training colleges at Gilgit and Skardu under CIDA Project (Funded by the world Bank)
Initiatives Taken so far Through CIDA Project build capacity of 1452 Head Teachers ,3270 of Elementary Schools Teachers, Scholarships for 250 Pre-Service teachers for Diploma in Education and Scholarships for 500 Pre-Service Teachers for B.Ed. Primary Education Project (PEP) Gilgit-Baltistan (Gilgit, Hunza-Nagar & Skardu) funded by UNICEF. Developed Capacity Building of Teachers Training Institutions & Training of Elementary School Teachers Funded by MoE/CIDA.
