GLANCE is strengthening fundamental research on large-scale parallel and distributed systems in the Netherlands. • Seven large research projects granted, (scheduling, coördination, microthreads, optical networks, robustness) • Budget: 4 M€ Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek

  4. VIEW stimulates research on visualization, including modelling and simulation to support this. Six projects are running, of which one project is related to virtual reality, two medical visualization, one biology, two are theoretical Budget 3.5M€ Nederlandse Organisatie voor Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek

  5. STARE is innovative computer science enhanced by/to enhance astronomy. • Four projects granted so far (three of which related to distributed systems and one to visualization). • Budget: 2 M€ • In addition, 0.5 M€ is reserved for three personal research grants within IsFast collaboration track.
