Review • Aims: - To review and improve the LV= national travel policy. - To raise awareness of sustainable travel within LV=.
Review • Objectives: - To research and analyse existing and potential travel patterns for employees through the implementation of a survey by 30th November 2010. Our survey was active between 30th November – 3rd December 2010. - To create an LV= group wide travel guide in order to inform employees of sustainable means of travel to and from work, by 31st January 2011. Our travel guide template was handed to LV= on Wednesday 19th January 2011. - To present LV= with five justifiable recommendations, supported by research, by February 2011. We presented our final recommendations to LV= on Wednesday 19th January 2011.
Review • Deliverables: - National internal employee survey. - Travel guide for LV= Bournemouth. - Template travel guide for all UK offices. - Market research and comparisons. - Identify the offices in most need of an updated ‘travel to work’ plan. - Provide recommendations.

Recommendations 1). Bus. To partner with Wilts and Dorset bus company to receive discounted bus tickets. 2). Car. Encourage more employees to car share and highlight the benefits of driving sustainably. 3). Bicycle. Changing the application window for their cycling scheme from December to March / April. Fully utilising a new partner, ‘Wheel-Wright’. 4). Awareness. Promotional table in the foyer / entrance of each office building with materials for travelling more sustainably. Possibility of creating a Smartphone ‘app’ and introducing competitions. 5). Re-Education. More information regarding sustainable travel on the LV= intranet. Information displayed around offices, e.g. In lifts.
