BACKGROUND • G2G demo proposed by Air France & NAV Portugal • Result of Call for Tender (NATCLM Project Proposal) • Scheduled for 2nd anniversary of signing of AIRE agreement • Purpose: • Media event to publicize AIRE accomplishments • To include media and VIPs on flight during Paris Air Show • Participants included: • ADP (Aéroports de Paris) • DSNA (French ANSP) • NAV Portugal (Santa Maria FIR) • Air France • FAA • FAA AIRE PM sought “balance” with US air carrier • American Airlines inclusion
SCENARIO • Single AFR flight depart from CDG • Slightly before or during Paris Air Show (date not yet firm) • Boeing 747 (ADS-C/CPDLC certified flight) • Media events at CDG and at MIA upon arrival • Proposed procedures included: • CDG Taxi time Reduction • CDG Taxiing with 1 or 2 engines off • Continuous Climb Departure • Oceanic Cruise: • Dynamic lateral optimization • Vertical optimization (Cruise Climb) • Longitudinal optimization (Block of Mach) • Arrival: • Tailored Arrival • Reduced taxi in time • To include American Airlines as US air carrier: • CDG departure • Aircraft: B-777 FANS equipped • Flight to be separate day from AFR flight • To include same maneuvers where possible/practical
