Spelling Words: Choose ten words from the attached spelling list that you want to be tested on. Getting Along Together Please encourage your child to read and write as much as possible. Help them choose books they can read with 99% accuracy. This will help them practice reading quickly and with expression. Magic Tree House books are usually a good choice for a third grade student. Also, a third grader should be able to write coherent sentences with capitals and periods. I am concerned with how many students are struggling to make sense in their writing. Please help your child by asking them to reread their SFA read and responds aloud to you. Check their writing and give them specific feedback. I will be targeting writing skills for the rest of the semester, specifically correct punctuation, expression, interesting words, and a coherent flow. Thank you for your help! We will be focusing on stopping to think before we tease someone.
