Where does the Direct Object Pronoun go? Direct Object Pronouns come before the conjugated verb. Innegative sentences, the word NONmust precede the DOP. Esempi: Mangio la frutta. La mangio. Non scrivo il compito. Non loscrivo.
DOP & Infinitives If a sentence includes an infinitive, the DOP is usually attached to the infinitive ending after the final –e is dropped. Two ways the sentence can be created. Esempio: Devo finire i compiti. Devo finirli. (or) Lidevo finire.
