Laburpena • 1984az geroztik, 5.764 hies kasu berri diagnostikatu dira, eta tratamendu antierretrobiralak nagusiki erabiltzeari esker laurogeita hamarreko hamarkadan hasitako murrizte-joerarekin jarraitzen dugu. • 2012ean, 46 hies kasu berri diagnostikatu dira, eta milioi biztanle bakoitzeko tasa 21,2koa da. • Kasuen guztien %32,6ean transmisioa bide homosexualez gertatu da, %28,2an bide heterosexualez eta %28,3ean drogak bide parenteralez hartzen zituztenak izan ziren.Lehenengo aldiz transmisio homosexuala garrantzisuena izan da eta transmisio heterosexualarena gainditu du. • Kasuen %73,9 gizonezkoak ziren eta %15,2 atzerritarrak . • P.jirovecii bidezko pneumonia izan zen hies-gaixotasun adierazgarri ohikoena (%28,3), eta gero tuberkulosia (%19,5).
