  6. 實驗步驟 • 到70803觀察基地收發台 • 觀察基地收發台內的各個模組 • 是否所有的模組都在使用中 • 觀察在7館屋頂上的基地台 • 觀察天線的外觀 • 觀察佈線的狀況

  7. GSM BTS (in YZU 70803)

  8. MS BSS RBS BSC Radio Base Station • 基地收發台BTS是GSM與MS 之間的溝通管道。Ericsson稱BTS為RBS。 • BTS包括發射器、接受器(天線)、與手機通訊的無線介面相關之信令號處理的設備。

  10. Radio Resource Management • BTS會收集所有MS送來的 signal 測量數據，轉交給 BSC。BSC 利用這些數據做 channel assignment，一個低干擾的 channel就被稱為是 idle channel，可以分配給MS使用。

  11. Radio Base Station • DXU: Distribution Switch Unit • TRU: Transceiver Unit • CDU: Combining and Distribution Unit • ECU: Energy Control Unit • PSU: Power Supply Units

  12. Parts of RBS (1/3) • TRU: Transceiver Unit • One TRU handles 8 air time slots • Perform Channel Coding, Interleaving, Ciphering, Equalization • CDU: Combining and Distribution Unit • 負責將各個TRU要傳送的transmitted signals合併送到antenna。 • 將uplink的signal分配給各個TRU。

  13. Parts of RBS (2/3) • DXU: Distribution Switch Unit • Interface to the BSC (A-bis interface) • Cross connect individual time slots to TRU • Provide RBS synchronization timing reference (i.e. clock source) • ECU: • 監控power的相關設備 • 使用空調調節RBS機櫃的狀況

  14. Parts of RBS (3/3) • PSU: Power Supply Units • Provide DC voltage based on AC or DC power supply • Battery Fuse Unit can give a minimum of 1 hour battery back-up
