The achievements of the BUCS NW WFD Group Agreed Terms of Reference and Aim ‘To drive forward, develop and promote coaching, officiating and sports volunteering within Higher Education and Further Education in the North West.’ Coaching • Overview document of NGB rates of pay and MOS • Building links with external organisations • Coaching audit to identify the current University provision in North West in partnership with NWUA
The achievements of the BUCS NW WFD Group Officiating • Lack of officials for BUCS Competitions identified across 5 sports (by Competition and Participation Group) • Officials Development Plan currently being drafted • External links with Sports Officials UK and NGB’s Volunteering • Engagement with NWUA project
The future of the BUCS NW WFD Group…. • Raise awareness of who we are and what we do • Provide a support network to BUCS members involved with the delivery of Coaching, Officiating and Sport Volunteering in the North West • Give a Regional view to identify and develop projects to meet our group aim • Ensure we drive coaching, officiating and sport volunteering forward as opposed to duplicating
