13 lane miles median bus lanes (11-12 feet wide) • 38 lane miles mixed flow, turn lanes and curbside parking lanes • Mostly ACC “Cold Recycle in Place” for bus lanes and traffic lanes. Some areas may require pavement overlay or other rehabilitation of the pavement • PCC in station areas (adjacent to boarding platforms and acceleration and deceleration zones) • Landscaping • Off street parking lots Roadway & Pavement

Passenger boarding platforms • Width varies depending on location and design • In order of usage – • 12-foot single bi-directional shared median platform • 8-foot curbside platform • 9-foot split median platform • Most platforms are 60-feet long excluding access ramps and traffic transitions • 3 stations in downtown Oakland have 6 platforms which would be 120-feet long on streets with multiple bus routes • Level passenger boarding • Platform is 13-15 inches above street level • Integration of vehicle & station design • (0.375” vertical + 2” horizontal gaps) BRT Stations Cont.
