En el laboratorio también existen relojes de armenio y un reloj adicional de cesio La pantalla azul muestra las horas oficiales de los países de América. El reloj colombiano está 17 nanosegundos retrasado con el reloj de Estados Unidos Gracias a este dispositivo, la emisora de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia recibe la hora oficial de Colombia El Doctor Gustavo Chaparro, director del laboratorio del tiempo y frecuencia del INM, mostrando los diferentes relojes atómicos que dan la hora oficial en Colombia Este modulador de frecuencias es capaz de controlar la frecuencia de los átomos del reloj de cesio.
