What is Marijuana and what is it’s history? • Marijuana is an illegal drug, & originally comes from a plant. • Marijuana use to be legal in many states in the 1800’s but in that time it was used for other thing’s like: sail’s clothes, rope and many other things. • Marijuana also use to be used a lot in medical purposes, but then people started using it to get high.
How do you use it? • It is the most common used drug in the United States. • Marijuana is usually smoked but it can be put in tea, and it can be mixed in with baked goods. • ( brownies or cookies) • Many use pipes or water pipes
How long does it take to feel the “high” • Most of marijuana’s short term effect’s wear off within 2 or 3 hours. • The effects are generally felt within 10 to 30 minutes.
THE EFFECTS & Dangers. • The Effects are the heart begins beating more rapidly and the blood pressure drops. • Smoked Marijuana can cause burning and stinging of the mouth and throat, and cause heavy coughing. • People that smoked some weed have problem everyday with brain cancer

Reasons People Take This Drug … • People may start smoking because they get pressured into it. • They think its cool to smoke. • And some people just like the feeling of getting high.
The Average Cost • The reports that prices for commercial marijuana ranged from $50 to $100 in 1985. By 1992 the highest price for commercial marijuana, according to their reports, was $450. For higher quality sinsemilla, NNICC reports a range of $120 to $200 in 1985, increasing to a range of $75 to $650 in 1992.
Medical Uses • Tetrahydrocannabinol(THC), there are more then 460 chemicals in marijuana. • Marijuana is about three to four common drug used for medical uses. • It lowers your eye pressure in patients with glaucoma.
Legal aspects • Students’ attitude toward the legal aspects of marijuana at a University, shifted from strongly negative to strongly positive as frequency of marijuana use increased. • Other harmful drugs like “Prozac” are legal, when they can cause Abnormal dreams, agitation, anxiety, bronchitis, chills, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness and fatigue, hay fever, inability to fall or stay asleep, increased appetite, lack or loss of appetite, light-headedness, nausea, nervousness, tremors, weakness, & weight loss.
Types' of addictions • Marijuana can be addictive. • It all depends on the person, some people for instance may get addicted to the drug on the first time they try it but other people may not ever get addicted to Marijuana.
