HAMMURABI CODE- BABYLONIAN SYSTEM BASED ON AN “EYE FOR AN EYE” sometimes exists in local laws and laws dealing with property and cases of restitution and family law.
SOURCES • THE BIBLE- OLD TESTAMENT AND MORAL CODES CONTAINED IN LAWS OF MOSES.(TEN COMMANDMENTS) • CONSTITUTIONAL LAW- BASED ON PRINCPLES OF THE U.S. CONSTITUTUTION. • STATUTORY LAW- BASED ON LAWS WRITTEN BY NATIONAL, STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENTS- SOMETIMES CALLED ORDINANCES. • JUSTINIAN CODE- ROMAN LEGAL CODE- SIMPLIFIED LAWS STILL USED IN EUROPE AND THE U.S. TODAY.
