  1. Welcome Back Superstars! Mrs. Higginson 2nd grade 2000-2001

  2. Supplies • These are optional! • Markers or crayons • Pencil box • Pencils • Scissors • Glue • PLEASE NO BULKY BINDERS

  3. Friday Folders • Sent home every Friday • Look over work and sign • Send back only work completed or corrected • Return Monday • Enter name on Lotto Board

  4. Homework • Packet sent home every Monday • Math facts daily • Spelling list and homework included for the week • Turn in every Friday

  5. Reading Calendars • Sent home the first of each month • 15-20 minutes a day • 5 times a week • Reading parties for 100% readers • INDEPENDENT GRADE ON REPORT CARDS!

  6. Birthdays • Un-birthday if summer birth • Spotlight student for the week • Notice given a week ahead • Please save all birthday treats for spotlight time

  7. Rules • Raise your hand • Stay on task • Respect other people and property • Follow school rules

  8. Consequences • First time – warning • Second time – yellow card(5 sentences) • Third time – red card (10 more sentences) • Sentences during recess or after school

  9. Donation Ideas • Orange Juice can lids (clean please) • Clean baby food jars with lids • Toilet paper/paper towel roll cardboard tubes • Empty powdered baby formula cans and lids • Material/wallpaper scraps • Yarn

  10. Show and Tell • Every Friday before lunch • Toys brought to school must stay in backpacks during class • Toys at students’ desks will be confiscated!

  11. Things to Remember • Pay your $15 donation at the office • Join the PTA • And . . .

  12. Lets have a great year!
