IEL Computer Labs offer a wide range of software and courses for students, including GED/Pre-GED, ESL, Office programs, and more. Instructors are available for support. Visit our labs at Hillyard on Market Street or AEC on Monroe Street.

  2. Where? • Hillyard on Market Street • AEC on Monroe Street

  3. Who? All IEL students are eligible to work in the computer labs.

  4. Instructor Support • Knowledgeable computer lab instructors are on duty during lab hours

  5. Software • GED and Pre-GED • ESL • New Century Reading • Keyboarding and 10 Key • Office programs (Word processing, Spreadsheets, Presentation, Databases) • Internet Explorer • WOIS for job searches • Assistive Technology Suite

  6. Certificated Courses and College Prep offerings: • Basic Keyboarding (Certificate for 30+ at 95% accuracy) • Advanced Keyboarding (Certificate for 50+ at 95% accuracy) • Basic 10 Key (Certificate for 150 + at 95% accuracy) • Windows and Computer Basics • Word Processing Basics • Spreadsheet Basics • Presentation Basics • Database Basics • Internet Basics

Other Course offerings: • Setting up/checking email • Job searches and resume building • Include job specialists located at AEC. • One is scheduled in the computer lab on Tues or Thurs each week to assist in job search and resume building activities • WOIS • Financial Aid • Research / printing / scanning.
