  3. Long-term Goal To adopt innovative teaching skills that helps children to develop understanding and development of Urdu Enables students to learn in relevant, real world 21st century contexts (e.g., through project-based or other applied work)

  4. Short-term Goals I will encourage students to work on activities and projects connected to long-term goals aimed at building deep conceptual understanding and proficient strategy use. Identify structural elements in published fiction. Apply structural elements to their own fiction. Experiment with narrative styles, points of view, and voice. Write clear, detailed, and precise language. cultivate the art of revision as part of the writing process Develop characterization, plot, and setting in their own writing

  5. Instructional Strategies and Tasks I will instruct students to use technology to make decisions, solve problems and create new ideas. Group work Quiz Activities To develop students’ creative writing skills: Conduct read-aloud from favorite books. Share my own work. Have students choose a first draft and rework the beginning Promote listening for potential leads Take a look at endings that do not work. Encourage students to use one another's leads and conclusions.

  6. Using Bloom’s Taxonomy for teaching Personality Knowledge- After reading a sample biography, students recall a famous personality (Fatima Jinnah) and discuss his life and achievements. Comprehension- Identify the main events of her life and write a list of achievements. Applying- Select the useful information and prepare a summary. Analyzing- Compare the summary with the sample biography and differentiate between the two. Creating- Create a biography about themselves using the worksheet provided. Evaluating- Use Peer-checking strategy to criticize and appraise each other’s biography. Students fill Self-assessment checklist to evaluate their work.

  7. Solutions to anticipated challenges Challenge: During group-work, all members may not take active part. Solution: I will assign separate tasks to each student in a group and group leader will monitor each member’s performance.

  9. Conclusion By implementing my newly-acquired 21st century teaching approaches. Students will be empowered and will appreciate and gain a better knowledge of Urdu Language.
