A Design… With 3D Effect! • You will need: • A piece of thick paper (e.g. 8.5”x11”); • A pencil OR a fine Sharpie marker
A Design… With 3D Effect! • Getting Started: • Start with a curvy, horizontal LINE • across the middle of the page
A Design… With 3D Effect! • Getting Started: • Add 8 randomly-spaced DOTS • Connect the dots with curved lines
A Design… With 3D Effect! • Getting Started: • Use curved lines to create one column • TIPS: • Keep sections at least as wide as your pinky finger • Go right of the edge of the page

The Medium…Coloured Pencil TINT = lighter value of a colour SHADE = darker value of a colour
Colouring for 3D Effect… VALUE… light and dark TINTS = lighter (e.g. highlights) SHADES = darker value (e.g. shadows)
