WHAT IS AMERICAN SLANG • Simply put, civil widely used, the convention of the spoken language is the slang, the United States, slang means the United States is very widely used, say so we all know the English proverb. For example, the police say is a regular police, but the slang is a cop. Cop this term we usually only talk in private, not when faced with a U.S. police say. In fact, there is also a Chinese slang, such as rich in slang is wealthy（大款）; and not smart people slang is stupid（二百五）; Slang used mostly verbal, sometimes pejorative, can not be face to face with the parties that generally only behind his back. Slang writing in small, but it is not in writing can not be used, but less elegant.

  5. a dog in the manager 占着茅坑不拉屎的人 A: Give the skates to me! B: You shut up! A: If youdon't know how to skate, why don't you give the skates to me? Don't be a dog in the manger. 甲：把冰鞋给我！ 乙：你闭嘴！ 甲：你若不知道怎么滑冰， 干嘛不把冰鞋给我？ 别占着茅坑不拉屎。

  6.  A hen-pecked husband 妻管严，怕老婆的男人A: Aunt is scolding uncle again.B: Don't worry.Your uncle won't utter a word back.A: I don't know my uncle is a hen-pecked husband.B: He isn't he thinks it's not necessary to quarrel with women.甲：婶婶又在骂叔叔了。乙：别着急，你叔叔不会还口的。甲：我还不知道我叔叔是个妻管严。乙：他不是。他觉得和女人吵架没有必要。

  7. TAKE A DUMP上大号 A:Would you mind closing the door? I’m trying to take a dumphere。 　　A: 你可不可以把门关起来呢？ 我正在上大号。 B: Well, learn to lock the door next time。 　　B: 那么下次学会把门锁起来吧！ "dump" 是“丢掉”的意思， “丢”什么不必我解释了吧？ 　　“我要上厕所”(大小号都一样) 可以说 "I need to use the restroom." 或简单地说 "I need to go."。

  8. A GAY DOG快活的人 A:It's strange they should get along so well! B:That's nothing unusual. A: You don't know much about the couple. One likes to be alone, but the other is a bit of a gay dog. 甲：它们居然能处得这么好，太奇怪了。 乙：没有什么不寻常的。 甲：你不了解这两口子，一个喜欢独处，另一个却喜欢热闹。

  9.  XYZ 检查你的拉链 Hey , man. XYZ。 老兄啊！ 检查一下你的拉链吧。 "XYZ" 是 "Check your zipper." 的意思。在美国，填表选项时多用打“X”来表示(台湾则用打勾表示)。这个选项的动作就叫"Check", 也就是这里的XYZ 的 X所代表的。Y 是Your, Z 就是 Zipper 啰！
