    4. Using an Encyclopedia If you are looking up Dogs then you would go to the “D” volume and look for the article on dogs using the guide words to help you. What are guide words?

    5. Keywords If you are looking up Ancient Rome would you look for Ancient or Rome? Rome is your keyword This is the word that you look up in the encyclopedia

    6. INDEX Sometimes when you look for your keyword you can’t find it! Then you need to use the INDEX The index is the LAST volume of the encyclopedia

    7. Which volume would you look in to answer your question?
