  2. Mission Overview • The objective of our mission is to test the practicality and capabilities of a near space return-to-Earth vehicle • We want to discover an affordable method of returning a payload to Earth • We want to develop a basis for further high-altitude glider technology

  3. Design • We plan to use our BalloonSat as transportation for the glider • Electromagnet release • Camera & GPS tracking on the glider • Glider and BalloonSat made out of foam core

  8. Biggest Worries • Release (too early/failure) • Battery life!! • Camera malfunctions • GPS (service/destruction) • Glider stabilization • Phone destroyed on impact
