New: When discarding props that are made
of solid material or have corners or sharp edges, team members must gently toss or
“place” the props.
7. 7 2-1-7 Spring Floors Use of mini-tramps, springboards,
spring-assisted floors or any
height-increasing apparatus is illegal during performances
and competitions.

8. 8 2-5-2 Basing Extended Stunts
New: Bases of extended stunts must have both feet in direct weight-bearing contact with the performing surface.
9. 9 2-8-3 Braced Stunts
In braced partner stunts/pyramids, at least one bracer must be at shoulder height or below . . .
EXCEPT. . .
10. 10 2-8-3 Braced Stunts 1.These extended stunts may brace any other extended stunt:
• Chair
• Multi-base deadman lift
• Multi-base straddle lift
2. Extensions may brace stunts listed above and other extensions (except totem pole).

1-2-2,5 Stunt Personnel Clarification: A post is a ground level person; a bracer is a second level person.
1-9-10 Non-Release Specialized Stunts New definition of Swedish Fall, specifying that it is an extended stunt.
1-10-1,3,5 Release Skills/Stunts Distinguishes different levels of force in:
Art 1: Pop - controlled upward pushing motion
Art 3:Toss - forceful upward throwing motion
Art 5: Release stunt - moderate upward throwing motion

Checklist
Is the flyer in a weight-bearing inverted position on the floor before the base(s) take her/his weight?
Is the flyer moved immediately into a non-inverted position shoulder height or below?
Is there someone (base/spotter) who is in a position to protect the flyer’s head/neck if she biffs it?

Is the flyer constantly braced during l.o.c.?
Does the flyer ever become inverted? Bracers?

Are spotters paying attention to the correct flyer?
Is the flyer’s weight ever supported primarily by a bracer?
Is the l.o.c. a continuous up & down movement - no pause?
Does the flyer remain directly over the base(s)?
Does the flyer return to the original base(s)?
Is the flyer released to a toss?
