Field Work Report Structure • Your style of writing should be as follows: • Body contents Font Size = 12px • Font Type = Times New Roman • Line Space = 1.5 • Text-align should be Justified • All Chapter Headings must be centered with Heading 1 as main title, subheadings are Heading2 sub sub-sub-heading are Heading 2

Report Format • Executive Summary • Chapter 1: Introduction • Chapter 2: Work done and Lessons Learnt • Chapter 3: Literature Review • Chapter 4: Analysis • Chapter 5: Conclusion and Recommendation • Reference • Appendix
Executive Summary • Instructions • List the main points the summary will cover in the same order they appear in the main report • Write a simple declarative sentence for each of the main points. • Add supporting or explanatory sentences as needed. • Read the summary slowly and critically, making sure it conveys your purpose, message and key recommendations. You want readers to be able to skim the summary without missing the point of the main report. • Check for errors of style, spelling, grammar and punctuation. Ask a fellow writer to proofread and edit the document.

Chapter 3 (Heading 1) Literature Review (Heading 1) 3.1 Introduction (Heading 2) [14px] • Short paragraph of literature review explaining generally about what was done in field work is supported by various authors, (Text Books, Internet Articles, Journals, etc.) 3.2 Literature Review – Work done and Lessons Learnt (Heading 2) 3.2.1 Software installation (Heading 3) • Explain people’s idea here about SW installation for instance with the use of citation. i.e. (Surname of an Author, Year Published). Example Regarding the installation of Windows XP SP2, the process must be carried out within formatted drive (Allen, 2006)……………………… or According to Allen (2006)……………………

Chapter 4 (Heading 1) Analysis (Heading 1) 4.1 Introduction (Heading 2) • In this chapter try to show your personal reflection & views on all activities done and also your reflection about about organization and IT in general. 4.2 Analysis (Heading 2) • Give your thinking and reflection about activities carried out during your field. There could be subsections within this section, so you can partition this to another subheadings such as 4.2.1 Subsection (Heading 3) 4.3 Conclusion (Heading 2)
Chapter 5 (Heading 1) Conclusion and Recommendation(H1) 5.1 Introduction (Heading 2) • Short paragraph explaining, that this chapter is for summary of the report 5.2 Conclusion (Heading 2) • Summarize each chapter that you discussed previous. 5.3 Recommendation (Heading 2) • Give recommendation to the Institute and Organization that you did your field. (focusing on IT)
