Ending Group Meetings • Closing the group’s work • Keep members focused on topic of discussion • Limit the time that each member has to discuss an issue • Summarize what has been said • Obtain closure on each issue/concern as it is discussed
Ending Group Meetings • Ending a session is a good time to engage in a process of REFLECTION: • Focus on session • Looking back on that transpired to see what it meant for members • Analyzing the significance of what occurred • Examining what members can take away and put into practice in their own lives • Identify unfinished work and what needs to be worked on in the future
