2. Overall Project Aim The implementation of cost effective business services across NHS organisations in North Wales with a view to being a pilot for the rest of Wales. The business case will examine the options for shared services across North Wales to encompass those aspects of Finance, Procurement, Human Resources, and IM&T which lend themselves to shared services working either through technology or specialisation in terms of skill or expertise
3. North Wales Current position LHBs use shared services provided by the Wales Business Services Centre for Finance, HR,IMT,Contractor Services and some specialist advice. Move to Oracle underway to align NHS systems
Trusts provide their own support functions and are working to establish common processes where possible with a view to potential shared services. These are at varying stages of development and discussion.
