  2. Goal • To support needy students who are academically bright and economically backward but wish to continue their college education.

  3. Objectives • To assist their academicals needs like coaching class and knowledge-center, bus pass, hostel facilities, mid day meal etc. • To provide information on professional courses. (Educational and career guidance and counseling) • To encourage/motivate parents to let their children continue higher education. • To support merit students with scholarships. • To collaborate with educational institutions towards improved resources and facilities. • To develop student confidence level and handle their academic and personnel stress.

  7. 2011-2012 Updates • Bridge course • Help students to prepare for II PUC • Introduce the syllabus before the college class starts • Common Entrance Test (CET) Classes • 3 days CET class for II PUC students • Lecturers to give free CET class

  8. 2011-2012 Update • Parents Meeting (Group) • Students shared I PUC results and challenges faced during the last academic year. • Parents shared their opinion on academic performances. • They promised to support their children for good performances. • Rewarded 03 students for their good academic performances (I PUC) by their parents.

  10. 2011-2012 Update • Innovations: • Introduced English question paper for entrance test. • Earn while you learn scheme was introduce to the students, especially for senior students . They are doing data entry package and they are been paid for it.

  11. 2011-2012 Challenges • Priced out of the existing building • Shifted to a new building in June 2012 • 2 class rooms and small office. • requesting free space. • Some classes in a religious institution

  12. Current Project Status • 32 new students with partial support • 15 students funded another 15 looking for funds. • Teachers from Asha from SV • Looking for partners. • Dr. Balu visiting Bay-area in Oct.
