Design • We decide to go with a box to get the solar oven working. • We decide for a box because we researched and it showed that a box was easy to create and that it did work.
Materials • The materials we used to create the box were: • 2 boxes • Aluminum Foil • Tape • Black non-toxic paint • Shredded paper • Foam • Black Plastic Bag • Oven Bag
Building The Box • 1st: We got 2 boxes and cut their edges. • 2nd We painted the boxes with non-toxic black paint • 3rd We put foil on the edges of the box with tape. • 4th We shredded paper & foam to put on the bottom of the big box. • 5th We put the oven bag on the top of the box to contain the heat.
Cook • We decide to cook a Smoresbecause we thought it was going to be easy to cook. • We were going to cook a soup, but we just decide to go withSmoresbecause are box wasn’t so big to cook something big.
Ingredients • To cook smors we needed: • Honey Grahams Crackers • Marshmallows • Chocolate bar
Test • We tested our box on June 5th to see how hot did it get and we got: 120 degrees • Then we tested it again on June 5th with the plastic cover & it went up to 167 degrees. • With the temperature very high our smore did cook.
