Ezra 9 The princes of Israel brought a problem to Ezra. Foreign wives to whom they had no lawful right. Ezra 10 The solution is given here What!!! Would God ever allow or sanction making repentance dependant upon putting away a wife they should not have. And how about the children of that relationship? Does God expect families to break up over this? Please note; this statement below is the most important statement that could ever be made when dealing with the issue of Marriage and Divorce Doctrines; Findthetruth.com Teaching On MDR It is settled and God settled in the Old Covenant in Ezra 10

Jesus Solution To Unlawful Marriages Matthew 19:3-9 3The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? 4And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 5And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 6Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 7They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? 8He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. 9And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.
Since when are opinions inspired? If it’s Paul’s opinion, it by definition cannot be inspired. It was placed in scripture by inspiration to be sure. But Paul is its source not God This is backwards Brethren!! Paul’s opinion can not contradict Any Scripture Findthetruth.com Teaching On MDR If Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, is about to give a scripture regarding Marriage and Divorce, and he clearly states that God does NOT have a command pertaining to what he is about to write, and Paul also declares that what he is about to write is simply - his opinion - The fact of the matter could not be any more clear, Paul's opinion is the END of the discussion. And Paul's opinion is NOT a command. As well, no scriptures can contradict Paul’s inspired opinion. This is exactly what is found in 1Corinthian 7:25-28.
Inspiration 2 Timothy 3:16-17 16Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness. 17That the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work. • 1901 American Standard Version, (Oak Harbor, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc.) 1994.
Inspiration Is The Mind Of God 1 Corinthians 2:6-13 6Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.
Inspiration Is The Mind Of God cont. 1 Corinthians 2:6-13 11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.
Work Of Holy Spirit Inspiration is the work the Holy Spirit performs as He guides in all truth. He reveals the mind of Christ not the mind of the apostle Paul! John 16:12-15 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. • The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769. • 6:12-
Paul’s Judgment On Present Distress 1 Corinthians 7:25-28 25Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful. 26I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be. 27Art thou bound unto a wife? seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? seek not a wife. 28But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you. The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.

Totally eliminating the phrase “for the present distress”. Why? From reading 1 Corinthians 7:11 that a wife must not ‘Separate’ from her husband, we can see that the Holy Spirit is saying that a husband must not leave ‘Separate’ from his wife. Paul is NOT saying that, “A husband cannot divorce his wife” or “A wife cannot divorce her husband”, For that would be in direct contradiction to Paul’s “OPINION” in 1Cor. 7:27. 1Corinthians 7:27 (ONLY Paul’s OPINION) “Are you married to a wife ? Do not seek a divorce. Have you been divorced from a wife ? Do not seek a wife.” 28“But if you do marry, (surely speaking of divorce as well) you have NOT SINNED . . .”
Findthetruth.com Teaching On MDR In 1Corinthians 7:11 the use of the word ‘to Leave’ cannot be translated as ‘Divorce’ for why would the Holy Spirit not have used the same Greek word for divorce, just as He specifically used the other 12 times in 12 separate scriptures as shown previously. In this context, it is ‘Separation’ from one’s spouse that is being addressed, God is distinctly commanding the married, to not separate from each other. Most assuredly because of the increased chance of Adultery. And as well, most importantly, it must be understood that Paul has just stated that what he is writing, is without ‘COMMAND’ from the Lord (verse 25). • 863 aphiemi { af-ee’-ay-mee} • from 575 and hiemi (to send, an intens. form of eimi, to go); TDNT - 1:509,88; v • AV - leave 52, forgive 47, suffer 14, let 8, forsake 6, let alone 6, misc 13; 146 • GK - 918 { ajfivhmi } & 1889 { ejnafivhmi }* • 1) to send away • 1a) to bid going away or depart • 1a1) of a husband divorcing his wife • Enhanced StrongÆs Lexicon, (Oak Harbor, WA: Logos Research Systems, Inc.) 1995.
Findthetruth.com Teaching On MDR From all the NEW COVENANT scriptures pertaining to Divorce which are found only in 1Corinthians 7:27-28, the NEW Covenant teaching on Divorce is so very, very simple. God has plainly removed Himself from governing any ‘Civil’ law in regards to Marriage / Divorce as opposed to how He did govern it under the OLD Covenant. The only Biblical address to the topic of Marriage and Divorce is done by the Apostle Paul (and he declares that he received his Doctrine directly from Jesus via revelation). And because Paul then simply gives his “OPINION” which certainly is NOT a command, it CANNOT be made binding upon ANY Christian. Also, because the Holy Spirit inspired Paul’s opinion to be recorded, it cannot contradict any other related scripture. And this opinion of Paul’s could certainly NOT contradict any other Marriage / Divorce commands in the NEW Covenant, even though there aren’t any.
What About These Passages? • Matthew 19:3-9 • Matthew 5:31-32 • Mark 10:2-12 • Luke 16:18 • Romans 7:1-4 • 1 Corinthians 7:10-16 • 1 Corinthians 7:25-39 Jesus had a lot to say about Marriage and Divorce also. The Covenant Position doesn’t recognize this as applicable to Christians, only non-covenant people, thereby completely eliminating the impact of these teachings.
Findthetruth.com Teaching On MDR 1Corinthians 7:27 (ONLY Paul’s OPINION) “Are you married to a wife ? Do not seek a divorce. Have you been divorced from a wife ? Do not seek a wife.” 28“But if you do marry, you have NOT SINNED . . . “ MAN has done a wonderful job of making the teaching of the NEW COVENANT on Marriage and Divorce one of the MOST distasteful subjects in all of Christianity. Please don’t allow such a tragedy to bring any confusion upon your life or your desire to serve God. And our hearts go out to those who have been so tragically wounded by Man's neglect to thoroughly study God's Word, with an open heart. Best Wishes, ;0) This covenant position is carefully crafted. It encourages frequent divorce and remarriages because “God has plainly removed Himself from any civil law in regard To marriage and divorce”.
Conclusion • This Is A Pernicious Lie Against The Truth • This False Teaching Must Be Refuted • This Error Will Destroy Godly Marriages • It Will Lead Only To Broken Homes • Leading To The Destruction Of Society 2 Peter 2:1 But false prophets also arose among the people Just as there will also be false teachers among you… And it is imperative that we recognize it as such
