European Year of Creativity and Innovation • 2009 - European Year of Creativity and Innovation announced on base of the Decision N. 2008/0064 (COD) of EP and Council • Objective – promote creativity as stimulus for innovation as a key factor for development of personal, professional, entrepreneurial and social competencies through lifelong learning
European Year of Creativity and Innovation • It refers specifically to raising awareness about significance of creativity, innovation and development of entrepreneurial skills for individual development, as well as for economic growth and employment; promotes entrepreneurial thinking mainly of young people.
European Year of Creativity and Innovation • The age of people is prolonging and the pace of new technologies development is speeding up • appearance of new jobs • JOB reconstruction,JOB creation • Lifelong learning is the necessity for all of us.
European Year of Creativity and Innovation Key competencies for future are: E- competencies Social competencies Learning competencies ENTREPRENEURSHIP – one of key competencies of lifelong learning Training firms – allow young people to acquire and/or improve key competencies
Training Firm Works with authentic materials from practice, fictive goods and services, fictive money and for this purpose it uses the circulation of documents within the firm as well as its business relations with other firms, even abroad.
Training Firm improves: • Professional competence and skills, language competencies • TF employee gains authentic experiences • Key competencies – ability to work in team, to solve problems creatively, to make decisions and conclusions, to think critically and independently, communication skills, skills of self-development and to encourage the development of others • Use of ICT • Encourage creativity and presentation skills • Economic and juridical awareness of TF graduates, as well
Training Firm • TF uses mainly the method of simulation • TF employees get familiar with the firm structure • TF employees experience the establishment of a firm and all activities referring to it – cooperation with a trade register, companies register, tax office, social and health insurance companies – simulated by SCTF - entrepreneurial competencies • TF employees experience various jobs and work in various firm departments • TF employees is actively involved into solving tasks individually or in teams
EUROPEN-PEN • Worldwide training firms network – 45 member states • National Centre of Training firms in each state • Slovak Centre of Training firms established in 1998 and a full member of EUROPEN-PEN since 2008 • SCTF has 640 training firms in 2009 • SCTF – several projects aimed at the improvement of the situation of VET schools graduates and their entrance to the labour market
12th International Fair of Training Firms On 8th – 9th December 2009 in Bratislava • It is the grand finale of pupils effort and work in their training firms • Pupils can experience a direct contact with clients • Very significant – communication in foreign languages, solving business cases, establishing business relations • Learning about national and cultural customs • Simply – LEARNING BY DOING
