Equality Analysis • Equality Analysis process developed and managers • trained • 2 levels – screening / full assessment • E&D Group involved in challenge • Complaints, Allocations and ASB Policies scrutinised • Positive outcomes: • - Clarification in Allocations policy around assistance dogs in • sheltered schemes • - Action to review time based waiting lists as could • disadvantage some groups • - Specific reference to young people to be removed from ASB • Policy: focus on the behaviour not the age of the perpetrator Our Vision : To be Provider of Choice
Learning and development – E&D • E&D Group development day • - hqn provided training on Equalities Act • - S&I provided training on Equality Analysis and SHEF • Briefing on the Equalities Act for: • - Excellence Group • - Customer Panel • Ongoing E&D Group Learning and Development • programme • - Positive communication and influencing skills • - Facilitation skills / managing difficult conversations to follow • - E&D Group reps on external conferences – eg Stonewall and • race hate • - S&I good practice visit to Northwards Our Vision : To be Provider of Choice
Customer Profiling • Existing profiling data consolidated • Profiling data collected for new tenants at sign up • Data for existing tenants collected through “Ethel” surveys • / Sheltered housing customer information from support • assessments • Current levels = Age = 73.3% • Gender = 98.9% • Ethnicity = 62.8% • Religion = 49.5% • Sexual orientation = 49.2% • Disability = 21.8% • Heads of Service charged with using information • Information to be used in service reviews Our Vision : To be Provider of Choice
Social Housing Equalities Framework • SHEF agreed by Board as excellence framework – to be • included in Clearview Service Excellence Module • E&D Group trained on the framework and online tool • E&D Group conducting assessment • - 1st stage of the assessment completed • - Final assessment and evidence to be produced by end March • - To influence strategy development Our Vision : To be Provider of Choice
