  2. Einsilbige Adjektive werden mit –er und –est gesteigert: cold – colder – the coldest warm – warmer – the warmest Achte auf die Schreibung! big – bigger – the biggest

  3. Adjektive mit drei oder mehr Silben werden mit more und most gesteigert: expensive – more expensive – the most expensive beautiful – more beautiful – the most beautiful

  4. Adjektive mit zwei Silben, die auf-y, -le, -ow, -erenden, werden meistmit–erund–estgesteigert: Achte auf die Schreibung: -y  -i lovely – lovelier – the loveliest happy – happier – the happiest simple – simpler – the simplest narrow – narrower – the narrowest clever – cleverer – the cleverest

  5. Alle anderen Adjektive mit 2 Silben werden mit more und most gesteigert.

  6. Merke dir die Unregelmäßige Steigerungsformen: good – better – the best many/ much – more – the most little – less – the least
