DECLARITIVE SENTENCE • Is a sentence thatmakes a statement. It’s the kind of sentence you use whenyouwant to tell something. • Ex. Mybrotherdeliversnewspapers.
Imperative sentence • A sentence asking or tellingsomeone to do something. • EX. Please close the door.
INDIRECT QUESTION • An indirect question is the part of a statementthat tells whatsomeoneasked, but thatdoes not give the exact words of the personwhoasked the question. • EX. Sheasked us whetherwelikestrawberries. • ( Do NOT use a question mark in a indirect question .)

It iscalled a direct question. A question mark isusedonlywith a direct question.
Exclamation Point • Use an exclamation point at the end of a exclamatory sentence . • EX. Tim, look out!
EXCLAMATION POINT • Use an exclamation point after an interjection or afteranyotherexclamatory expression. • An interjection is a word or group of wordsused to express strong feeling. It maybe a real word or simply a group of lettersused to represent a sound. It is one of the eight parts of speech. • EX. Hurrah! Wow!
