It stays in the brain for about 30 minutes after smoking a cigarette. • Smoking often makes a smoker feel dizzy and nauseas, but then they build up a tolerancefor it. Smokeless Tobacco Smokeless tobacco contains 28 cancer-causing agents (carcinogens). It increases the risk of developing cancer of the oralcavity, is strongly associated with leukoplakia (a lesion of the soft tissue in the mouth that consists of a white patch or plaque that cannot be scraped off) and recession of the gums.
