Using SLOAP to Review Assessment Reports

SLOAP is a student learning outcomes assessment portal that facilitates the reviewing of assessment reports, provides access to reviews by assessment reporters, and aggregates and displays review data. It also allows for the submission and archiving of assessment reports and reviews.

  3. Why SLOAP? • Facilitate • Reviewing of Assessment Reports • Access to Reviews by Assessment Reporters • Aggregation and Display of Review Data • As Well As • Submission of Assessment Reports • Archiving of Assessment Reports and Reviews

  4. Logging in to SLOAP • Go to sloap.gsu.edu • Use campus id and password

  5. Finding the Report to Review • WEAVEonline: no change • SLOAP • Click on “Report List” tab • Use menus to limit displayed document • Check name against “List of Program Names” • Check for supplementary documents • Click on “download” link(s) • LiveText(some CEHD assessment reports) • You will be provided with a link

  7. College Names AS = College of Arts and Sciences BU = College of Business EH = College of Education &Human Development LW = College of Law NS = School of Nursing and Health Professions PS = School of Policy Studies SH = School of Public Health Do not use ED or PH

  8. Starting Your Review • Click on the “Submit Review” tab • Select year, college, department, degree • Enter program name from list • Choose type of review (core, undergrad, etc.)

  9. Preparing Your Review • Provide “General Comments” • Complete 15-element Rubric • Select appropriate radio button (required) • Provide explanation/suggestions in “Comments” • Click on “Complete” and then “Submit” Note: If you are unable to complete areview in a single sitting, you may save it by clicking on “Incomplete” and “Submit.” You may access it later under the “Draft Reviews” tab and then complete it. You may save a draft review as many times as you wish.

  10. Word Template Option • You may also prepare your review in a Word template available at http://oie.gsu.edu/2014-15-assessment-cycle • After completing the review in Word, please transfer the ratings and comments to the review template in SLOAP

  11. What Happens Next • Review goes to “Draft Reviews” list • Review checked by co-chairs • Final review posted on “Review List”
