Background • FMCSA, Canada, and Australia completed studies • 2007 & 2014 - TRB suggested a pilot program • 2011- ATRI published report on the Benefits of alternative compliance • 2014- CVSA requested Pilot Program
Definition of Beyond Compliance Beyond Compliance includes voluntary programs implemented by motor carriers that exceed regulatory requirements and improve the safety of commercial motor vehicles and drivers operating on the Nation’s roadways by reducing crashes.
