Zephyrus -The god of the West Winds. -Protector of flowers and plants. -Messenger of Spring -Husband of Chloris. -Zephyr was the name of the roller coaster at Pontchartrain Beach that shut down in 1983. Chloris -The goddess of flowers, springtime, and newly grown plants -She is identical with the Roman Flora -Nymph of the islands of the blessed -Wife of Zephyrus -Zephyrus gave her dominion over flowers. God & Goddess

  3. Flora *Floral means having to do with flowers. *Flowers are delicate, colorful, and frequently sweet-scented. *The Romans called Chloris, “Flora” and honored her each year with a celebration known as the Floralia.

  4. Zephyrus -A west wind is a wind that originates in the west and blows east. -Zephyrus was the personification of west wind and bringer of light spring and early summer breezes. -Zephyrus was known as the fructifying wind. -Zephyrus‘ nick name was Favonius, who held dominion over plants and flowers. The name Favonius, meant “favorable”.
