The play takes place in the cursed Ukrainian village of Kulyenchikov. For two hundred years every villager has suffered the curse of stupidity. Into this village comes young, idealistic school master Leon Tolchinsky. Events that ensue as Leon tries to break the curse by educating at least one person are cause for laughter.

Arrangements are made for the president of Conrad’s fan club in Sweet Apple, OH, to give him one last kiss. When the NYC entourage shows up in Sweet Apple, interesting things happen.
