  1. PRAYER (PT.3) CONFLICTS- don’t get resolved because we talk to everyone else except for the person with whom we have the conflict (Matt.18:15). PRAYERS- never get answered because we talk to everyone else about our problems except for God.

  2. PRAYER (PT.3) PRAYERS- communication with God THE GOAL OF PRAYER- to get the ‘EAR’ of God HOW DO WE GET THE EAR OF GOD?- through Jesus Christ John 14:13 “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.”

PRAYER (PT.3) THE PRAYER OF JABEZ 1.)VS.9Jabez is mentioned in only 3 verses of the entire Bible. -He is not highly visible. -You don’t have to be seen for your prayers to be powerful (Matthew 6:5-6). 2.)VS.9Jabez means “SORROW;” his mother birthed him out of pain. -Jabez lived with the pain of his mother -Most of the pain we deal with is not ours to carry. -WE GIVE THE PAIN BACK THROUGH FORGIVENESS.

  4. PRAYER (PT.3) THE PRAYER OF JABEZ 3.)VS.9Jabez was more honourable than his brothers. -honourable means “to be heavy;” to endure adversity. -Jabez endured more adversity than any of his brothers. -Some of our greatest prayers are birthed out of our greatest adversities!

  5. PRAYER (PT.3) THE PRAYER OF JABEZ 4.)VS.10Jabez asked for the following: -Lord BLESS me INDEED. -The Hebrew words are the same for “bless” & “indeed.” -They both mean “bless.” -Why not ask God to bless us shonuff double? (Eph.3:20)

PRAYER (PT.3) THE PRAYER OF JABEZ 5.)VS.10Jabez asked for the following: -Lord ENLARGE my coast. -With increased territory comes increase responsibility. -More Seats > More Souls 6.)VS.10Jabez asked for the following: -Lord let your HAND be with me. -HAND represents God’s power -Except God’s power be with us, we can do nothing.

PRAYER (PT.3) THE PRAYER OF JABEZ 7.)VS.10Jabez asked for the following: -Lord KEEP ME FROM EVIL THAT IT MAY NOT GRIEVE ME! -I’ve been through enough trouble. -Isaiah 61:3 Give me beauty for my ashes, the oil of joy for my mourning, and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. 8.)VS.10 God granted him his request. -GOD STILL ANSWERS PRAYERS!
