  2. Appearance Am 1.8m long, my tail is 60-90cm long. I weigh 60kg and am 70cm tall. My young have a spotted coat but become solid tan to grey-brown at six months old. I have long sensory whiskers. I have lighter fur on my belly with a pale patch above each eye. My young have special noises chirps, peeps, growls, and hisses to tell me where they are

  3. habitat • I live in rain forests,deserts,mountains, and plains. I don't migrate. You can find me in Canada, the USA,east Mississippi. There are 30-50 left of me in Southern Florida.

  4. Diet • I kill my large prey by pouncing on their backs and breaking their necks. I eat deer ,wild hogs, sheep, moose ,elk,rabbit,hares,rodents,raccoons, some birds,livestock,and armadillos. I bury my large prey with leaves and twigs to hide from other animals until I am able to finish eating. I am a carnivore.

  5. babies • I develop in my mother's womb for 90 days.

  6. Offspring • My babies are hairless, with little masses of muscle. My babies cannot see. I can leave my babies for 36 hours to get food. I have 1-4 babies in each litter.

  7. enemies • Well I have 2 natural enemies they are a hawk and the alligator. I protect myself by making a den so the hawk and the alligator don't find me. I claw rake trees so I can run fast against my enemies.

  8. endangered There are only 30-50 of my kind left in the wild today. People hunt me for my fur, they also cut my habitat down. By the way my habitat is trees. There are also mercury toxins that kills me,too
