What GWOPA is: a Global platform for WOPs • The Global WOPs Alliance, UNSGAB initiative within Hashimoto Action Plan • Led and hosted by UN-HABITAT upon request by former UN SG • Global mechanism for coordination and support of WOPs • In line with Hashimoto principles (non-profit partnerships, inclusivity)

What GWOPA is: a Global platform for WOPs • A multi-stakeholder network of partners: • GWOPA’s inclusive governance • Alliance of partners for utilities’ capacity building: UNESCO-IHE, UNESCO-UNW, UNICEF, WHO, CAP-NET, IWA, WATERAID, GWP, WSP, regional devt bank, national cooperation agencies etc…

GWOPA and PWWA • On-going :exchanges between Pacific and the Caribbean • 2016: • Signing of a CA between GWOPA and PWWA (50,000 USD) • implementation of 1 WOP • Support to the Secretariat • (on the basis of PWWA future work plan) • - Direct support to 2 WOPs on PIP with OFID funding (2d phase) mentees to be identified
