  10. Tips • Don’t be shy. Ask your pharmacist about what kind of side effects to expect, and how long they should last. • Doctor, Doctor! Call your doctor if you think your medicine is not working for you. • No secrets. Always tell your doctor if you stop taking your medication. • Portable health record. Keep an updated list of everything you take. Share this with your doctor and pharmacist.

Know the Questions to Ask Doctor, Nurse or Pharmacist • What is the name of my medicine and what does it do? • How and when should I take my medicine and for how long? • What if I miss a dose of my medicine? • Does my medicine have any side effects? • Is my medicine safe to take with other medicine or vitamins • Can I stop taking my medicine if I feel better?
