  10. Drawing Tips • Relative to Model • Insert / Drawing View / Relative to Model • Will need to know how to use for CSWP-Drawing Tools test • Useful when Making Weldment Part Drawing Details

Weldment Tips Add SolidWorks Provided Profiles to SolidWorks • Hold “Ctrl” button • Select Files from SolidWorks Content • From Design Library • Copy to known File location • Unzip using Windows right click “Extract All..” or WinZip • Copy files to \\SolidWorks\lang\engilsh\weldmnet profiles • Or new folder location • System Options – File Locations – Weldment Profiles

  12. SolidWorks Bounding Box for SolidWorks 2013 • Bounding Box Weldment Feature • Not just for Weldment • Feature tree will remain the same • 3D Type Sketch • Align to part • Just a couple of steps

Modeling Tip Delete Feature and Sketch at the Same time • Right-Mouse-Click the feature in the Feature Tree • Select “X Delete…” • Check to box for: Also delete absorbed feature Restoring the “Confirm Delete” Dialog Box • System Options • Messages/Errors/Warnings • “Do you really want to delete the following items(s)”
