LifeArray 2.0 Development Update October 29, 1999 Release Date • Averaging of Hybridizations • user will be able to create an averaged hybridization • user can sort or crop by variance • can query the database for averaged hybs • averaging method for dual channel data will be geometric mean and fractional % difference • method of calculation of variance still to be determined

LifeArray 2.0 Development Update October 29, 1999 Release Date • Composite Hybridizations • will allow hybridizations performed with the same sample on multiple GEMs to be treated as one GEM • can be used to query the entire database • composite hybs will be treated as normal hybs in all viewers

LifeArray 2.0 Development Update October 29, 1999 Release Date • Clustering Viewer • k means clustering • 2 methods of visualizing results: • x, y coordinate system • color system • cluster viewer will have functionality found in other viewers such as highlighting by protein function and selection methods for creating gene groups.
