Event Highlights and Feedback • High level of interest from participants in future Business Horizon events • High need for bilingual skills across technology workforce and for senior level talent • Small business needs alternative scheduling for education & training • Possible areas of growth/expansion for UC include a remote/mobile component, an open lab space for technology play/exploration, on-demand education/training, career exploration & internship opportunities & program development to support healthcare industry and construction management • Collaboration across business is key

UC Facility Lounge space near completion Collecting bids on technology upgrades inclusive of new projectors, smart boards, air media & multi-cable connections in all classrooms Repairs to roof, exterior walls, sealing windows & dome & landscaping updates Exploring uses for existing wet-lab space

UC Finances Impact of Towson move – Loss of 50K in classroom rental and $150K in FTE funding from MHEC Shift to HCC in-kind support only meaning UC funded by MHEC and revenue generation only Greater focus on revenue generation from business and facility use Need for more business and university partners to drive revenue

  6. Marketing/Outreach Summer Specials for facilities use BH2.0 Event Series Summer Open House – joint effort with increased attendance but will be moving toward virtual open house format and on-line information sessions Increased focus on social & digital media with targeted radio, APG, print & specialized outreach
